The honest version

I spent 18 months figuring this business out. You don't have to.

When I launched ToteRental.ca in Guelph, I didn't know which suppliers to trust, which realtors would refer, what to charge, or how to build a website that actually converts movers into bookings.

I figured it out the hard way. Wrong bin sizes. Three rebuilt websites. Failed Facebook campaigns. Terrible pricing. Eventually, something started working — and now we rent out totes week after week with a predictable flow of bookings from realtors, movers, and homeowners.

If you want to launch the same thing in Kitchener, Calgary, Boston, or wherever — you don't need to rediscover any of that. The Blueprint is every hard-earned lesson, every template, every supplier contact, every outreach email, packaged up so you can plug in your own city name and go.

What's in the kit

Everything you need to launch, priced like a weekend course.

Ten modules. Downloadable the moment you buy. Yours forever — no subscriptions, no unlock tiers.

01

Website Template

A clone of ToteRental.ca — hero, pricing page, booking flow, FAQ — ready to re-skin with your city and brand. Hosted on whatever platform you prefer.

02

CRM Setup Guide

HubSpot free-tier pipeline configuration, contact properties, booking stages, and automation recipes. Copy the setup step-by-step.

03

Outreach Sequences

Five proven cold-email sequences: realtors, moving companies, property managers, storage facilities, and stagers. Plug in your city, press send.

04

Bin Sourcing Guide

The exact suppliers I use, specs, wholesale minimums, shipping notes, and how to get first-order discounts. You order your own bins (not included in the kit).

05

Local + AI SEO Playbook

How we rank in local map packs and show up in ChatGPT / Gemini answers for "moving totes near me" type searches. Every on-page template and schema markup snippet.

06

Content + Social Calendar

12-week content calendar for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok. Post templates, caption formulas, and the newsletter flow that keeps customers renting year-round.

07

Paid Ad Templates

Facebook/Meta and Google Ads creative and targeting setups that actually work in a hyper-local service business. Budgets, audiences, bidding.

08

Operations SOPs

Delivery checklist, cleaning protocol, pickup procedure, inventory tracking spreadsheet, damage policy. The boring stuff that keeps the business running.

09

Local Pricing Calculator

Excel model: punch in your city's cost of living and competition, get pricing recommendations that won't leave money on the table.

10

Legal Templates

Rental agreement, terms of service, privacy policy, damage waiver — plain-language templates reviewed by a Canadian small business lawyer. Fit for most jurisdictions with minor tweaks.

Fit check

Who this is for — and who it isn't.

This is for you if...

  • You want a real, physical small business — not another dropshipping hustle
  • You live in a city of 50,000+ with active moving activity (students, families, renters)
  • You have $5K–$15K to invest in starter bins + your first 3 months of ads
  • You're willing to do physical delivery and pickup yourself to start
  • You want a side business that can grow into a full-time income in 12–18 months

This isn't for you if...

  • You want a 100% passive business that runs itself
  • You're looking for a "get rich quick" info product
  • You don't have budget beyond the Blueprint to buy bins and launch ads
  • You're based within 50 km of Guelph, ON (see disclosure below)
  • You expect me to run the business for you — this is a playbook, not a done-for-you service

What you're NOT getting, so we're clear.

No bins (buy them from the supplier list). No done-for-you setup (you build your own site from the template). No exclusive territory (another operator could launch in your city too — though that's rare in practice). No ongoing coaching calls (this is a one-time product, not a course with a monthly call). No refunds once the kit is downloaded — it's a digital product and once you have the playbook, you have it forever.

Pricing

One fee. No catches. No subscriptions.

Questions

Stuff operators ask before buying.

Is this a franchise?
No. A franchise in most jurisdictions (including Ontario, under the Arthur Wishart Act) requires a trademark license, substantial operational control, and ongoing fees. You get none of those here — you run your own independent business under your own brand. You're allowed to use the ToteRental name in "built with the ToteRental Operator Blueprint" attribution only; no trademark license, no royalties.
Can I use the name "ToteRental" in my city?
No. Pick your own brand — something like CalgaryTotes, BoxUpBoston, etc. Blueprint includes a naming exercise to help you land on something that ranks locally.
How much will I actually make?
Depends entirely on your city, effort, and how well you execute. A realistic year-one operator running the playbook should do 100–250 moves at $85–$150 each. Our own unit-economics model (included in the kit) walks through conservative, base, and stretch scenarios. No income guarantees — anyone promising those is lying.
Why are you selling this instead of expanding yourself?
Because expanding a physical rental business into new cities means physical infrastructure, local labor, trucks, warehousing. That's a different business than mine. I'd rather make $997–$1,497 helping 100 people launch their own version than spend 5 years building out 5 cities myself.
What if two operators buy it for the same city?
It can happen. In practice it almost never does — there are thousands of North American cities and a small number of Blueprint buyers. If it concerns you, email us before buying and we'll tell you whether another operator has already claimed your city (we track it as a courtesy, not a guarantee).
Why the Guelph / Tri-Cities exclusion?
I still operate there. Selling the Blueprint to someone who'd compete directly with me in my own backyard would be insane. The exclusion zone is a 50km radius from Guelph, ON — covers Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Brantford.
Refund policy?
Digital product, no refunds once downloaded. If you apply and I don't think you're a fit, I won't take your money — I'd rather have 20 operators who ship than 100 buyers who stall.
